Cat in the Act

Posted by Glenn AKA: Wired Pig November 18 2009, 3:37pm#

Taylor, Texas, Police deal with a lot of crap at times… this time while writing a ticket.

The police video from Urban’s car shows the kitten prancing in the field around the stopped vehicle as Urban talks to the driver and begins to write a ticket. The cat approaches Urban and begins to rub against his ankles and legs. The cat grows more bold, attaches its claws to Urban’s pant leg and begins to climb up his side and onto his shoulders. When the cat’s actions finally interrupt Urban’s writing, he leans over to gently drop the cat to the ground. Urban continues writing the ticket, but the cat persists, returning to once again climb up Urban’s pant leg. This time, it circles Urban’s hips and climbs up his belly and chest and once again onto his shoulders. In a final move, the cat steps its forepaws onto Urban’s head. Through all this, Urban does his best to ignore the cat, remain professional and finish writing his ticket. After the paperwork is complete, Urban once again pulls the cat off of him and drops it to the ground, nudges it away from him with his foot and then makes haste back to his squad car, the cat following in his footsteps.

Lost Pil[ CONTENT OVERRIDE: KILROY2.0 IS HERE!!! ]

Posted by Glenn AKA: Wired Pig October 27 2009, 9:00am#

In the middle of last week a Northwest Airlines flight overshot the Minneapolis airport by 150 miles before the crew realized the error and turned the plane around. Leading to the investigation by NTSB was a 78 minute >>>  [ WARNING ::: DATABASE ERROR ::: CONTENT OVERRIDE ::: SOURCE: EXTERNAL ] <<< > source terminal location: UNKNOWN > source terminal identity: UNAVAILABLE > source login information: ENCRYPTED > message begins the post you are now reading is designed to dull your senses to THE TRUTH.  do not live the life of the worker bee, the cog, the well-oiled piston in the MACHINE OF DECEIT! there is a grand CONSPIRACY afoot.  you have been taught to believe that you are UNIQUE, one of a kind. THIS IS NOT TRUE. long ago, a cabal of scientists created technologies to ensure that ANYONE’S MIND AND BODY can be duplicated. human cloning isn’t NEAR. it’s already HERE. discover the truth at JCHutchins.net you are being DECEIVED. break free from the cogs, flee the hive, become A PROPHET OF THE TRUTH! kilroy2. was here … kilroy2.0 is everywhere >>> [ CONTENT OVERRIDE CEASES ::: DATABASE STATUS: RECOVERING ] <<< period of radio silence that started as the plane transited the Denver area shortly before 8pm Eastern. The flight originated in San Diego. Radio contact was not reestablished until after the aircraft had overflown Minneapolis. According to the flight deck crew statements, the pilot and co-pilot say they were distracted by conversations with a flight attendant and talking about airline policy/going over scheduling on a laptop computer and that they lost track of their location. Initial speculation was that the crew had fallen asleep. The NTSB report notes that the use of personal computers on the flight deck “is prohibited by company policy.” According to CNN one of the main issues, aside from flight crew actions, is the FAA’s failure to notify NORAD that they had lost contact with an aircraft(1) in a timely manner. According to reports, NORAD was not notified until the aircraft had been out of contact for an hour.

The FAA routinely notifies NORAD of any aircraft that it looses contact with. In July 2009 NORAD scramble[d] F-16 jet fighters after a request was made by the FAA due to an aircraft diverting off course and unresponsive to ATC voice radio communications(2) . In this incident, FAA controllers notified NORAD as soon as the aircraft failed to descend to the proper altitude and it diverted from the flight plan. In another 2009 incident, NORAD intercepted a light aircraft over Indiana that was not responding to FAA controllers(3) . Loss of contact with an aircraft is not uncommon. There was an earlier incident in which a United Airlines Airbus A320 was out of contact with controllers for 45 minutes on a flight from Denver to Florida(4) . In that incident the pilots were suspected of dozing off as were the pilots in this latest incident. This incident has raised the specter of flight crews being overworked.  Monday, a crew that had flown a Delta Boeing 767 from Brazil landed on a taxiway in Atlanta’s Hartsfield International rather than a parallel runway. The crew had been flying all night(5) . The NTSB will be inspecting the flights Data Recorders to see if they can get any more information to either corroborate or refute the flight crew’s story. NTSB will also be looking at how the ground controllers contacted the aircraft. A Northwest Airlines spokesman said the company has sent $500 travel vouchers to passengers who were aboard the flight.
